ASTA Payroll Deduction Update
ASTA Payroll Deduction Members:
A new Arkansas law prohibits collection of association dues from public school employee paychecks. Act 776 took effect July 1, 2023, and endangers your ASTA membership and legal protection. ASTA opposed this change and testified against the bill.
To avoid a lapse in your liability and job protection coverage, ASTA payroll deduction professional members MUST provide a credit card.
The good news is there is an easy and secure way to update your payment method entirely online, outlined below.
Please follow the directions below TODAY to secure your legal protection and professional support. A video walk through with instructions is at the bottom of the page.
Accessing the AAE-ASTA Member Portal:1. Go to www.myaae.org/s/login and click the "Forgot Password" link under the login box. 2. Enter your username and click "Request Password". Your username is your preferred email address. 3. You'll receive a link via email. Click the link to reset your password and login.
Updating your Payment Method (required to avoid a lapse):4. Click on "Memberships" to see your membership history. Click the blue "Renew Your Membership" link on your current membership to renew. (If you do not see a blue Renew link, click Join Now at the top of the page to rejoin ASTA). 5. Select your preferred Membership Plan (Annual Payment or Monthly Payments) from the drop down. Both member types include convenient automatic renewal, although you can contact ASTA and cancel membership at any time.
Updating your Contact Information (strongly encouraged):6. Click on “My Info” to review and edit your address (home address is preferred), phone number (cell or home number is preferred), school district, and other contact information. [You will not receive your membership packet with insurance certificate if we do not have updated contact information for you.]
